Why Odd Community exists, and what we will and won't build.

Most software today is optimized for one of two things: your productivity or your attention. The first turns you into a faster worker. The second turns you into an audience. We started Odd Community because neither of those is the part of life that actually matters.

We are not anti-AI. We are pro-human.

As the world becomes more automated, efficient, productive, we get to focus on more of the things that make us human - connections. Connections with ourselves, connections with our family, connection with our friends, connections with our partner. Connection with nature, connection with passion, connection with creativity, connection with spirits. Connection with time & moments that we can never bring back. Connection with emotions that machines can never feel. Connections with imaginations that only we can draw through our individual memories and experiences.

What we build

We build timeless & honest apps that are free to be used with no premium feature gating, and the membership will provide secure end-to-end encrypted backups, linking multiple devices and profiles, and provide premium AI functionality in some cases.

The members will also have special access to apps that we build with other creators that are aligned with our values.

They will be native mobile and desktop apps that we hope you will use every day.

Our goal is to have 1 million people using our apps, every single day.

What we won't do

• No ads
• No premium features gated behind subscriptions.
• No feeds, no follower graphs, no engagement algorithms.
• No selling or sharing your data. Ever. Your information is not our business model.
• No dark patterns, streak-shaming, or notification spam.
• No optimizing for time-on-screen. Success is what happens off the screen.

Community

For us it means meaningful connections. Our software is a way to foster those connections. To ourselves and to those around us.

It's not about money. It's not about scale. It's about relationships — deeper, at a human level. The apps we use should honestly add value to our lives, every single day.
